Chiisana Tokai Clock: Orange

Chiisana Tokai Clock: Orange

Chiisana Tokei means tiny clock in Japanese. Designed by renowned industrial designer Riki Watanabe and crafted by Lemnos, the Chiisana Tokei made its debut in the 1970s. It quickly established itself as a leader in personal clocks, which at the time were typically ornate and larger in size. The stand included with the clock allows for it to be mounted to the wall or set on a table. The color of the raised numerals matches that of the dial. The clock does not feature a second hand and has no ticking sound.

Celebrated post-war industrial designer Riki Watanabe established Japan's first design studio in 1949. Lemnos has been making clocks since 1947. The Chiisana Tokei clock has been included in the permanent collection of the JIDA Design Museum.
